From Tobias Blackwood
Opening the Blackwood Field Journal
Forty-one field notebooks survived in the expedition trunk I found in the family attic. Their pages contain careful measurements, weather records, sketches made aboard the S.V. Nightjar, and observations that E. A. Blackwood never placed before the scientific societies of his day.
This Field Journal is where I will catalogue that archive. Each completed specimen entry will preserve the original notebook drawing, the discovery account, and a curator’s note separating the documented natural history from the Blackwood family story.
The first specimen is now being prepared. Until its notebook page, wall-art plate, and apparel edition can be published together with verified links, the work remains in the study.
